DIY Bell Garland and ‘Uncle Buck’
A few months back we brought home a deer head who until just recently, lived in our entryway – sending us off with a smile and warmly greeting us when we’d return. The kids named him “pumpkinie” because it was right around Halloween and well, it just made sense at the time. Now that Christmas is upon us, he’s not only got a new home, but a new name as well….
Meet ‘Uncle Buck’ who now proudly hangs on my Grandfather’s handsome barn door:
We dressed him with a wreath and made him a simple bell garland for the holidays.
Which also could be worn as a scarf:
The bell garland was such a simple project I decided to do a quick tutorial in case you wanted to make one at home:
Here’s what you’ll need:
Twine
Bells
(easy right!?)
Take your twine and unroll an arms length (or longer should you have more bells). Tie small loops around each bell, then slip knot them onto the twine, like so:
Continue until you have tied all bells on the twine. Voila! This could also be used on your fireplace hearth,on your front door wreath, or even as an unexpected accent to your Christmas table.
For now anyway, ours is doubling as a scarf….Hope you had a great weekend! Thank you for stopping in.
Super cute & I love the bell garland!! The rustic appeal & charm from the bells mixed with Uncle Buck’s plaid..perfect!!
