Barn Door and Whitewashed Shiplap in Little Man’s Bedroom
Happy Friday before winter vacation! I took the plunge and whitewashed (and ‘greywashed’) the Shiplap in little man’s room. It was the least stinky option (see previous posts about my trials with natural stain) and possibly the easiest. Stay tuned for a tutorial :-).
I chose to put a layer of grey on the whitewashed Shiplap to compliment the barn door the Mr. made; which is a replica of my grandparents’ just downstairs from here:
We mounted the hardware this time to a 2X4 for extra support… safety first when it comes to our little people. 🙂
The barn hardware compliments the light fixture and spray painted door knobs up here :
And speaking of knobs – the little man’s closet got a couple of footballs – a splurge I knew I’d have coach’s approval on 🙂
Little man approves… too:
Now that the little man’s room is finished… I’m moving on to the little ladies’ room of the house. The baby grew out of her crib (sniff, sigh) and we were gifted some fantastic beds from their grandparents so of course that means paint, rearranging and more decorating fun! 🙂 happy weekend friends.
