Vintage-Inspired Christmas Tree
It’s hard to believe it’s that time again, my favorite time of year to decorate – I think because everything about it is, well, magical. This year I’m mixing old with new for a vintage, rustic Christmas vibe – starting with the tree er, trees. Let’s back up.
We decided to cut our own tree this year and somehow, when you have 5 votes for the best tree, you end up coming home with two. Since I don’t carry two sets of ornaments, I decided to use some vintage cookie cutters and some leftover bakers twine to make my own. I sprayed a few with copper and gold spray paint to add a little color, depth and character to the set. I used a white and red plaid scarf for a tree skirt, and finished things off with a few sprigs of red berries my mom had picked from around their cabin in Maine. Simple, rustic, and repurposed. Exactly my style:
Tune in again for a peek at Christmas tree #2, and a whole lot of fun random Christmas décor posts because well, I just love this stuff. Have a merry day!
Oh my gosh ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Gretchen! Thank you :-). So glad you like it. How’s the family doing? Decorating happening over at your place yet?
