Queen Bed makeover
Hello September… For some reason, when the temperatures drop I get the itch to do a project or two. My guess is that it’s instinctive hibernating mode kicking in, and my effort to make things cozy and inviting for the colder months. Back in March…April? (Gosh spring seemed like one long blurry day didn’t it?) I polled my instagram friends to see if I should paint or sand this old bed we had collecting dust in our garage:
Most wanted me to sand it. So? I gave it a bit of elbow grease with my favorite mouse sander, and a touch of lilac furniture wax from the Chippy Barn. Ready to see how it turned out?
A few pillows from Marshalls/Homegoods helped soften the look. The side table you see peeking in from the corner was a roadside rescue, also sanded and painted. The lamp and chambray quilt: Walmart. The paint on the walls is my all-time favorite white paint, “Bistro White” by Valspar.
Thank you for popping by today! I hope in some way I’ve inspired you to give something forgotten, new life too. 🙂
XO Kate
