Bedroom set makeover with The Chippy Barn Paint and D. Lawless Hardware*

It’s been a bit since I’ve done a furniture makeover, so when I found this gorgeous solid mahogany bedroom set, I couldn’t wait to give it new life. I instantly fell in love with the curved detailing on the sides and dovetailed drawers; they just don’t make furniture like this any more!
I chose to use The Chippy Barn Amulent paint in “Magnolia,” which is specifically designed for furniture, and has amazing self-leveling qualities. If you’re just starting out, this is a great one to try – less brush strokes and even better – a single quart goes a long way! It covered all three pieces and have some left to spare.
Once the paint had cured, I used my all-time favorite furniture wax (also by TCB) in the lilac scent to seal and protect.
Instead of reusing the old hardware (don’t worry I didn’t throw it out – I’m sure I’ll repurpose them on something :-)), I finished the look by adding new ‘jewelry’ with gorgeous champagne bronze pulls from D.Lawless Hardware. They are great quality, very heavy, and an affordable price! Ready to see the before and after?
