Master Bedroom Update
We have a wedding this weekend so I’ve been a busy little bee trying to spruce up the house for a few guests. A perfect opportunity to give our master bedroom a little and much needed attention.
Here’s a quick pic of our room when we first moved in. I like to call it the 100-months-pregnant-chasing-two-toddlers-look. Seems appropriate, yes?
Amazing what a little sleep can do:
The old bedroom set was handed down to a dear family member and we used two bookcases that used to live in the guest room to flank the sides of our bed.
I collected a few baskets, buckets and galvanized vessels to add storage in the deep shelves.
I chose to mix metals, baskets, and wood, then paired them with soft blankets and pillows to create a balanced, eclectic look.
Since this is a shared room, mixing masculine and feminine elements was also a must. Ruffles vs. plaids and stripes kept things balanced on that front.
My favorite touch is the DIY antler pillow: a fun little fall addition to any room. It’s been bouncing from sofa to bed since I made it last year.
And that, my sweet friends, is a wrap in here! Thanks for stopping in. I’m including a full source list in case you’re interested in creating a similar look in your own home. 😉

I LOVE your bedroom! It’s so warm and cozy and looks like the perfect place to relax. It seems like guests coming over always helps motivate me to spruce up some rooms too, lol. I’m so glad I found you on Instagram. Pinned 🙂
