Warming up the Kitchen Island (and a few other updates)
While the kids napped today I had a little fun…
I took out the plaid scarf I got in the mail from my mom and used it in the kitchen to cozy things up on the island:
Of course I couldn’t stop there… so the open shelving got a little makeover too, because well, I LOVE making them seem new again (and ahem, can’t help myself):
Oh, and see that key holder to the right of the barn door? It’s the newest addition in here (aside from the scarf of course). It caught my eye at Homegoods because of its sweet glass door and a numbered hooks…
It just happened to fit perfectly on that wall. Now if I could only remember that I hang my keys on it… 🙂 I also hung a clipboard with a pad of paper for notes and my never ending grocery list 😉
I was on a roll in here so I brought in the ladder that my sister-in-law handed down to me (which had been on the screened porch). I’m kind of liking it on that wall… it might end up being the perfect place to hang that scarf come dinner time 😉
And that’s a wrap in here for now! I’ll keep you updated should I get the urge to change it up again. Thank you for stopping in!
Hi Kate,
I love the little makeover you did, the scarf looks so pretty there!
Love the new key holder box too, have never seen anything like that with the glass before, it matches perfectly!
Have a wonderful Friday! 🙂
Hugs, Kimberley
Thank you Kimberley!
I know I hadn’t seen anything like it but when I saw it at Homegoods I knew it would fit right in at home 😉
Love when that happens…
Thank you so much for stopping in. Have a great day sweets!
Warmly
Kate
