DIY Upcycled Fence Post Tree Base
The Mr. was taking a lot of heat for using my rustic galvanized tree bucket as a firepit, and then accidentally squashing it with the backhoe…. so he decided to make it up to me. He went to work and a few saw cuts later… he came inside with this fantastic tree base.
Man does he know me. 🙂
He’d used pieces of the old fence that once surrounded the pool in the back yard. The PERFECT choice for a rustic tree base and it didn’t cost a penny! Just looooove it when that happens don’t you?
We decided to change things up a bit as far as where the tree was going to go this year…. so out went the Farmhouse table (to the kitchen area anyway) and in went the tree…
We are loving it in here and the kids had a ball decorating this year, and then redecorating… wonder where they get that from??
