Christmas Entryway
I’m hosting a hashtag challenge on Instagram with a few ladies called #aRusticChristmas and this week’s theme is entryways. (check out some great inspiration by searching #arusticchristmas on IG if you have an account) It was just the boost I needed to get our entryway all dolled up:
The Mr. bought a wreath from a school fundraiser and it smells so nice when we walk through the door.
I brought out my snowshoes and added them to the top of the storage bins for fun, wintry flair:
I also added a blanket scarf to soften things against the rustic bins.
An old lighted garland adds a warm, Christmassy glow:
And the red scarf on the wreath is from our snowman kit (since we’ve been having such nice weather lately, I figured we’re safe to borrow it at least for a little while).
The old sled is my Mom’s and I LOVE the vintage charm it adds wherever I put it.
I made the welcome sign awhile ago from scraps of a dresser I’d bought on Craigslist that, well, just didn’t make it as a dresser.
This plaid throw pillow was a gift from my Mother In law (from kohls) and I love it in any room I put it.
The vintage crates were my Grammies; she’d stored all of her jelly jars in them and they make me think of her when I see them, and smile. The little red chair was hers too. I could only borrow it for a minute before the youngest bean wanted it back to play musical chairs with.
I used metal bins inside the crates for added storage… you can find them at Walmart.com
The cotton stems are from Michaels, and the container they are in was a find at an antique store in Maine.
The birch logs were cut from a fallen limb found on the side of the road. The basket they are in is from Homegoods, as well as the striped rug seen here.
This sweet Santa mug (is one of three) was also a gift from my Mother in law and I think it was from hallmark stores.
I think that’s a wrap! Thanks for joining me on another one of my Christmas decorating adventures. I hope I’ve inspired you in some way to add some Christmas cheer to your own home too. 🙂
