Back to Blueberry Hill

Here’s a new one for ya… text shopping.  I know – I was skeptical too at first.  Here’s how it went:  I was doing my typical online shopping for a sofa to put in our family/function room and came up empty-handed.  Everything was either out of our price range, or sketchy in its reviews… so, cringe… I might actually have to put the little ones into the car and go furniture shopping.

I decided to first make a few phone calls to local furniture stores and see if what I was looking for, in my teensy price range actually existed.  It was then that the clouds parted – the salesperson on the other end of the phone said, “Sure we have a few things on the floor in our clearance section.  Let me text you a few pictures and you can let me know what you think.”

Jaw on the floor.  This guy was obviously experienced with moms of multiple kids, 6 and under.  Freaking brilliant.  Clearance shopping, with my own personal guide, in my jammies?  Sign me up!  Here’s what he came up with – and (spoiler alert) he hit the nail on the head (on his second attempt).

Okay…. not bad…. dark leather ok, but the sleigh arms weren’t exactly what I was looking for, price, pretty good. Can I live with it…?  ehhhh, let’s see what else ya got….

Now we’re talking! Clean lines? Check. Price? Good (with a little negotiating). Check.  This baby was on the Mr.’s truck the very next day.  I didn’t realize that it came with all 7 of those pillows… eek.  So what did I do?  Off to HM.com for some inexpensive covers!

Up Next? A DIY table…er…kitchen island…er….bar area, no, craft area?  We still haven’t decided what it is, but I can say it’s 10 feet of farmhouse bliss….stay tuned!
