Spring Picnic Basket
Mother Nature graced us with some (as my Grammy used to say) “poor man’s fertilizer” these last few days, so spring cleaning took center stage over here on Blueberry Hill. While elbow-deep into our downstairs closet, an old picnic basket unearthed itself:
The wheels started to turn…a little paint and some imagination and this little basket could be so much more:
I used some leftover paint (Benjamin Moore’s Quiet Moments):
Plunked in a mason jar, some fresh flowers, and a hand towel from West Elm to stage:
And I think it adds a fun spring-vibe to the vignette by our staircase:
Now we just need the weather to warm up a bit so we can enjoy a picnic or two outdoors. Thanks for stopping in and stay tuned for some more updates on our Chicken coop!
Hi Kate,
Love your picnic basket – so pretty painted a solid color and with the flowers inside it looks like Spring! And you are so right, if the weather would just warm up now we would be all set! 😉
Hugs, Kimberley
